Baghdad, January 17 (QNA) - Kurdish Peshmerga forces killed in Iraq eight elements of Daash organization and injured more than 15 others in a clash in the town of Sinjar in northern Iraq.
Commander of the Peshmerga foreces in Kurdish Sinjar area Brigadier Bahram Areef Yassin said remnants of Daash launched an attack on Beshmerga but his forces repulsed them killing eight militants and injuring 15 others For its part, Baghdad Operations Command managed to free an abducted woman, arrested the abductors, dismantled an explosive device and seized two weapon caches and explosives in different parts of Baghdad.
Meanhwile, the Iraqi Defense Ministry announced that a number of militants were killed near Baiji refinery in northern Iraq.(QNA)
