Amman, February 03 (QNA) - Daash Organization today executed Jordanian Pilot Lt. Moaz Al-Kasabeh who had been held captive since last December 24 after the crash of the aircraft he was piloting in the Syrian territories.
The killing was announced by the Jordanian News Agency (Petra) which did not give further details. The Islamic State group released a video Tuesday showing the burning to death of captured Jordanian pilot Lt. Moaz Al-Kasasbeh.
The Jordanian government entered into negotiations to secure the release of Al-Kasasbeh and asked for guarantees that he is still alive to agree on the release of Sajda Al-Rishawi which Daash demanded her release as a precondition for the release of Al-Kasasbeh and the Japanese hostage which the organization beheaded on Sunday.
Al-Kasasbeh, a 26-year-old officer from southern Jordan, joined the Jordanian Air Force six years ago.(QNA)
